  • There is a magic moment each evening when the setting sun lights up the tall trees behind the studio in a deep glow. It's a time of reflection on the day, good conversation about the work going on in the studios, a time of ritual and emergence from our working lives to our evening together. At the End of the Day, is all about that moment. This painting happened very quickly but it took months of living with it, turning it, moving it around the studio thinking I would work on it some more, only to realize that it was indeed finished and what it was saying to me.
