This series is my attempt to find something of that quality in the intaglio process.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhat makes these prints particularly special is the chin-collé: pages from antique art books, collaged into the surface of the print before it's run through the press. The paper becomes part of the image — fragments of art history embedded in the work, visible but transformed. Each print in the series is a unique combination of intaglio plates, colors, and collaged pages. No two are alike.
