The train ride from Madrid to Barcelona is an interlude in the truest sense — a pause between two vivid cities, hours of Spanish landscape moving past the window. Dry plains, distant hills, the light changing as you move east toward the coast. I found myself watching it the way you watch a painting: not trying to hold onto any single moment, just letting it pass through.

This series came out of that journey. Each print is made from a unique combination of intaglio plates and colors — no two are alike — and each one tries to hold something of that quality of passing through: the rhythm of the landscape, the particular light of Spain, the feeling of being between one place and another. This is number IV in the series. It arrives ready to hang, framed in white.
